App crashes and wont make it past the Loading page

I bought this app shortly after it was first released. It was a fun game and I was able to complete it. However, I recently reinstalled the app on my system and downloaded the most recent version. Now, the app is unplayable. The initial loading screen comes up but then the app crashes.

Note to Bitwise Design, my hardware is a 2nd Generation 8GB iPod Touch running iOS 4.0.2, thus this app is having issues on systems other than an iPhone 3G.
